To mark Children’s Day 2025, the Splendid Dreams Youth Empowerment and Education Initiative (SDYEEI) held a vibrant sensitization and empowerment session with students of Government Secondary School, Garki, Abuja. This year’s celebration centered on the theme “Building a Brighter Future Through Education and Innovation.”
The event featured motivational talks, mentorship sessions, quiz competitions, and an open discussion on personal development, leadership, and digital literacy. SDYEEI volunteers encouraged the students to embrace education as a tool for transformation and to develop creative thinking skills to meet the challenges of the future.
During her address, Founder of SDYEEI, Splendour Ifeoma Onuma, inspired the students with a message of purpose and self-belief.
“Your dreams are valid, and your education is your greatest asset. The future belongs to those who prepare for it with discipline and vision,” she told the students.
Teachers and school administrators praised the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful.
A senior teacher at the school noted:
“It’s encouraging to see organizations like SDYEEI investing time and energy into nurturing our students. The session opened their minds to new possibilities and reminded them that their future truly matters.”
The program concluded with the distribution of educational materials and refreshments to the students. Smiles and laughter filled the school compound as the SDYEEI team bid farewell — leaving behind a renewed sense of hope and purpose among the young learners.
Through activities like this, SDYEEI continues to champion the cause of child education, empowerment, and inclusion, reaffirming its belief that every child deserves the opportunity to dream, learn, and thrive.
